Martell Dinner

Always on the lookout for doing innovative experiences in a dynamic and original way, one of the oldest cognac houses, Martell (part of the French wines and spirits group, Pernod-Ricard) approached Biborg with a brief to create a digital activation. The idea was to display it during a special dinner that Martell was hosting for influencers, prospects and customers. The digital activation needed to be informative but at the same time entertaining in explaining the process of making the Martell Cognac.

In collaboration with Dune, Biborg worked on the physical setup including the technical hardware, the table configuration, the storytelling and narration of the experience as well as the 3D design, decor and post production rendering. Stereoplane, a sound production house worked on the music and sound design and Blackmeal, a motion design studio worked on the 3D motion design animation of the butler.

The activation which was diffused in Asian territories in 2017 was a projection on a dinner table that was displayed prior to when the dinner was served at the event. It included a Butler, as a host that guided the guests with the secrets behind the making of Martell’s Cognac. Our butler explained the history of Martell, provided a little tour of the Martell vineyard, the distillery and explained the process from grape to glass. The ending concluded in the butler wishing our guests an enjoyable dinner.

Bon appetit and enjoy your cognac.
